Hard-facing Powder

Hard-facing material products can be used to manufacture and repair the surface of parts by the hard-facing technology such as surfacing welding (PTA, laser cladding, oxyacetylene surfacing),spray&fuse welding, infiltration and thermal spraying etc.Not only significantly enhance the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance and other properties of the parts surface, but also can prepare special functional coatings such as sealing, insulation and heat insulation. It can improve the service life of the parts significantly and reduce the manufacturing cost of the parts.

Usage:  Hard-facing Powders are used in a variety of thermal spray coating applications, including Plasma Transfer Arc (PTA), Spray and Fuse, High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF), Laser Additive, and Puddle Torch technologies.

Feature: Hard-facing Powder is a process of spraying or welding metallic powders onto a workpiece or substrate to give it a specific hardness, wear resistance, or corrosion resistance.

Description

We supply hard-facing powder materials for various production applications. Their particle size, chemical composition, and formulation are usually tailored to your specific production environment.

Hard-facing material products are widely used to manufacture and repair part surfaces. Common technologies include surfacing welding (PTA, laser cladding, oxyacetylene surfacing), spray & fuse welding, infiltration, and thermal spraying.

These processes significantly improve wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance. They can also create special functional coatings, such as sealing, insulation, and thermal protection.

As a result, the service life of parts is greatly extended, while overall manufacturing costs are reduced.

Hard-facing technologies are widely applied across multiple industries for equipment protection and repair, including:

  • Metallurgy – rolls and wear-resistant parts

  • Mining – crushing machinery and drilling tools

  • Building materials – cement grinding rollers, glass conveyor rollers

  • Power generation – grinding rollers, fan blades, turbine blades, boiler tube walls

  • Forging – various forging dies and extrusion rolls

  • Food & Feed processing – rolls, hammers, and related parts

  • Petrochemical – shafts, valves, and seals

  • Aviation – key wear- and corrosion-resistant components

We offer the following three types of Hard-facing Powder products.

Hard-facing Powder type

Thermal Spray Material

THERMAL SPRAY MATERIAL

Thermal spraying is a surface modification technique that utilizes heat sources such as flames, plasma, high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) jets, or arcs to melt or partially melt powders or wire materials. These molten materials are then propelled at high velocity onto the workpiece surface, rapidly cooling to form a dense coating. This process imparts properties such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, or electrical conductivity/insulation to the workpiece.

Our company’s standard thermal-spraying products are as follows (customizable upon request):

WC-12Co thermal spray powder
WC-17Co thermal spray powder
WC-10Co4Cr thermal spray powder
WC-10Ni thermal spray powder
WC-12Ni thermal spray powder
WC-17Ni thermal spray powder
WC-15NiCr thermal spray powder
WC-20Cr3C2-7Ni thermal spray powder
Cr3C2-37WC-18NiCoCr thermal spray powder
Cr3C2-20NiCr thermal spray powder
Cr3C2-25NiCr thermal spray powder

Metal Alloy Powder

Metal Alloy Powder

Our Metal Alloy Powder is produced through vacuum induction melting followed by gas or water atomization, ensuring high purity and consistent quality. The powder consists of spherical or subspherical silver-gray particles with excellent flowability, strong deoxidizing capability, and good substrate wettability.

It is designed for advanced surface engineering processes, including plasma transferred arc (PTA) welding, spray welding, atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), low-pressure plasma spraying (LPPS), and high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spraying.

With outstanding abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature stability, this powder is widely applied for surface strengthening, protection, and repair of critical components. Industries such as petroleum, chemical, mining, power generation, steam turbines, and aerospace rely on these powders for enhanced durability and extended service life.

Particle Size Range: 0.011 mm – 0.150 mm

Matrix Powder for PDC bit

Matrix Powder for PDC bit -Hard-facing Powder

Our Matrix Powders are specially engineered tungsten carbide-based materials designed for infiltration sintering in the manufacturing of matrix-body PDC and diamond drill bits. The powders are precisely blended with metallic binders (such as Ni) and processed through controlled treatment and screening to ensure consistent quality and reliable performance.

These powders exhibit excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, impact toughness, and infiltration properties, making them ideal for demanding drilling environments. They provide strong bonding with PDC cutters and extend the service life of drill bits and related components.

Applications:

  • PDC and diamond drill bits (matrix body)

  • Infiltrated parts and tool joints

  • Tungsten carbide (TC) bearings
