Flexible hardfacing rope is made of hard phases (such as cast WC, cemented carbide, etc.) embedded in a self-fluxing nickel-based alloy on a nickel wire through extrusion.
Cast WC and cemented carbide provide high hardness and excellent wear resistance. The self-fluxing nickel-based alloy is spherical or nearly spherical in shape and exhibits high wettability with the hard phases. The resulting welding layer offers highly effective protection against erosion and abrasive wear.
Flexible hardfacing ropes are typically used in mining, drilling, agricultural equipment, as well as in the chemical and food processing industries.
